Enigin PLC Podcasting review / report
Enigin PLC are an energy saving company based in St Austell. They have many years experience in the energy field, and their specialism is the reduction of energy output. I think it is important to be clear on this point right from the outset, they are not a “hippy save the planet” company. Far from it, they are totally commercially minded, looking entirely at the money that you can save by energy reduction. They do not sell their services as “do gooders” as it were, but as an outfit that will make other companies more profitable. This is how they have grown to such a large turnover that spans the globe, and how they will continue to be a successful company.
So if you were to hear a podcast from Enigin PLC you would expect to hear something talking about energy. On hitting the play button on your ipod you would think that the voice of a clear spoken young man or woman would begin to bring your thoughts to how you are currently using your energy, the amount of money that you are spending, and the ways you should start to evaluate this in order to save yourself some money. Well whilst I’m not saying this isn’t the case, what I found surprising was that actually their best podcasts are not the ones on energy, but are infact their podcasts on business!
Ian Wrigley the CEO of Enigin PLC is a master of the business world. He seems to understand intrinsically what it takes to run a successful business, and how to assemble all the elements to ensure that a business not only makes money, but infact makes large amounts of money! More than this, he is an astonishingly clear and well spoken teacher, that is able to convey his methods extremely well. Enigin are expanding quickly, and I know that he is heavily involved with running the training courses that set up new employees with the skills that then make them so much money.
More than this Ian is able to convey his ideas verbally – and the crux of this is that his podcasts are excellent. I am not saying that the Enigin material on energy is bad, far from it, it is very good. However, the Ian Wrigley material on business matters is outstanding. Clear, concise, he is able to not only give you a wealth of information about business matters, but he is able to enthuse you about them. He does tell you ideas, he leads you along a thought process that eventually means you come up with those very same ideas of your own accord. Now we all know that an idea we have had ourselves is cherished and adhered to much more closely than any idea that someone else handed to us, no matter how good that idea is.
Enigin PLC’s Ian Wrigley is a skilled orator, and his podcasts are a master piece to listen to – if you can find them. They aren’t posted to this community site yet as you currently have to pay quite large sums of money in order to be able to listen to them, money that I will tell you know will be well spent. You can read his work for free on the Enigin blog however, so that is worth checking out. There are also some videos that I found on the Enigin video page, so do have a look at that as well.
